This 3 bed house presented considerable
challenges throughout. ALL walls and ceilings in ALL rooms had varying types of artex. In some places plaster skimming over had been attempted but
was now falling off. In addition all walls and woodwork had been painted with a 'value-basics' silk emulsion which was peeling from all surfaces.
Kitchen and bathrooms required stripping back, including removing 5 layers of tiles from the kitchen. In some rooms which were too far gone new plasterboards
were fitted before re-decorating, in other cases walls were filled and abraded smooth before lining and painting. Bare pipework was boxed in, new floors
fitted and tiling carried out in kitchen and bathroom, as well as standard re-painting. The property is now tenanted, achieving substantially higher rent than originally anticipated.
